Sierra Boggess, most recently seen on Broadway as Christine Daae in the long-running, Tony-winning The Phantom of the Opera, makes her 54 Below bow Aug. 19. The evening marks the actress' New York cabaret debut.
Boggess plays the Manhattan nightspot Aug. 19 and 26 at 9:30 PM. There is a $30-$40 cover charge and a $25 food and beverage minimum.
"54 Below audiences will see a brand new side of this Drama Desk-nominated actress when she makes her official cabaret debut," according to press notes. "One of Broadway's most promising new talents, expect a range of tunes from songwriters both new and old, and vocals that stretch from the sublime to the divine."
Boggess has also been seen on Broadway in The Little Mermaid and Master Class. She also starred in the London world premiere of the Phantom sequel, Love Never Dies.
54 Below is located at 254 W. 54th Street. Tickets and additional information are available at 54Below.com.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
