PHOTO ARCHIVE: 2014 Tony Nominee Neil Patrick Harris Onstage Before the Angry Inch

Neil Patrick Harris is back on Broadway in a new production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Harris — who rose to fame as the young star of "Doogie Howser, M.D." — has chalked up an impressive theatre resume over the last 17 years.
Harris has performed on Broadway in Proof, Cabaret and Assassins and in the New York Philharmonic production of Company. He is a three-time Emmy Award winner for his guest-starring role on "Glee" and as host of the 63rd and 65th Annual Tony Awards. He also served as host and producer of the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards, as well as the 66th and 67th Annual Tony Awards.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
