PHOTO CALL: Alice Ripley, Kacie Sheik, Meghann Fahy, Andrew Kober, Preston Sadleir Make A Lasting Impression at Joe's Pub

Tony Award winner Alice Ripley (Next to Normal) as well as former Hair tribe members Kacie Sheik and Andrew Kober were among the cast of A Lasting Impression, a contemporary new musical by theatrical songwriter Zoe Sarnak, which was seen in concert June 29 at Joe's Pub.

The 7 PM concert, directed by Laura Pietropinto, also featured Meghann Fahy ( Next to Normal, NBC's "Chicago Fire"), Preston Sadleir ( Next to Normal tour), Krista Pioppi ( Spring Awakening tour) and Taylor Noble.

A Lasting Impression, according to press notes, "is the story of two sisters, Kali, a composer, and Simone, a painter, told through the eyes of a jaded young journalist, Josh, who is searching for his 'next big story.' As Josh recounts his interviews with these two artists living in modern-day Brooklyn with their mother, he uncovers the secrets of a crumbling family. Through musical and visual elements, the sisters' artwork is woven through Josh's narrative. A Lasting Impression is about the impact we make through love and art."

The concert was presented by Cutting-Edge Composers in association with Hope Lights Partners. Music direction was by Virginia Hart Pike with orchestrations by Benjamin Rauhala and Julie McBride.

A Lasting Impression, winner of Pace New Musicals 2012 and performed Off-Broadway at the 4th Street Theatre at NYTW in August 2012, won the 2013 NJ Playwright's contest.

Songwriter Sarnak has four full-length musicals in development, including Mixtape, which was featured in Silent Street Productions' 2012 season.
