PHOTO CALL: Ariana DeBose, Rachel Bay Jones, Daniel J. Watts, Alysha Umphress Join The Ensemblist Hosts Mo Brady and Nikka Graff Lanzarone For Live Show

The Broadway podcast The Ensemblist headed to Birdland Jazz Club June 16 to celebrate its first anniversary with a live show. Ensemblist creators Mo Brady and Nikka Graff Lanzarone invited Broadway performers to the stage to celebrate their experiences.

Guests, who were interviewed live and perform, included Ariana DeBose ( Bring It On, Motown), Rachel Bay Jones ( Pippin), Alysha Umphress ( American Idiot, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever), Jeff Pew and Luke Hawkins, Daniel Watts ( After Midnight, Motown) and The Skivvies ( Nick Cearley and Lauren Molina).

The Ensemblist, according to press notes, "is an inside look at the experience of being a Broadway performer- from the first rehearsal through performing eight shows a week and beyond. Whether you’re an experienced theatre professional or a passionate fan, The Ensemblist will give you the opportunity to get to know new performers and the great work they do onstage, while also shedding light on some of the hidden innerworkings of the Broadway experience. Created and hosted by Mo Brady ( The Addams Family, 'Smash') and Nikka Graff Lanzarone ( Chicago, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown), The Ensemblist is the only podcast that shows you Broadway from the inside out."

New episodes of The Ensemblist can be downloaded every two weeks through the iTunes store by searching for "The Ensemblist." Episodes can also be streamed on Stitcher Radio, TuneIn and downloaded directly from Podbean at
