42West's Producing Artistic Director Jacob Langfelder launched a new 14,000 square foot, blank canvas, performance art venue this weekend with appearances by Billy Porter, Elizabeth A. Davis, Robin De Jesus and Lance Horne.
Porter kicked off the evenings festivities which later shifted to the venue's main space, where Lady Gaga held her official Roseland after-party with "Chicago Hope" star Taylor Kinney and 1200 attendees.
42West is midtown's new 14,000 square foot blank canvas. The multi-media, multipurpose events and performance space is adjacent to THE OUT NYC and KTCHN Restaurant located at 514 W. 42nd Street. The venue comes equipped with a state of the art sound and lighting system that can be used for live musical performances, off-Broadway theatrical productions, screenings, gallery exhibits, dance, cabaret, and special events. 42West offers clients a seamless booking and execution of events involving any combination of hotel rooms, event spaces, and catering.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
