Featuring music by Elton John, book and lyrics by Lee Hall, choreography by Peter Darling and direction by Stephen Daldry, Billy Elliot began Broadway previews Oct. 1, 2008, and opened to critical acclaim on Nov. 13. The production recouped its $18 million investment in only 14 months.

Billy Elliot the Musical, press notes state, "is the joyous celebration of one boy’s journey to make his dreams come true.
