PHOTO CALL: Mandy Gonzalez, Gavin Creel and More Join Lin-Manuel Miranda for The Hamilton Mixtape

The 14th season of Lincoln Center’s American Songbook series in the Allen Room of Jazz at Lincoln Center kicked off Jan. 11 with Tony-winning In the Heights creator Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Miranda offered a sneak preview of new songs from a work-in-progress: The Hamilton Mixtape, a hip-hop song cycle about the life and death of American founding father Alexander Hamilton. Miranda first performed part of The Hamilton Mixtape for President Obama at the White House; this one-night-only performance took place on what would have been Hamilton’s 255th birthday.

The 8:30 PM concert also featured the talents of Utkarsh Ambudkar, Gavin Creel, James Monroe Iglehart, Christopher Jackson, Moeisha Mcgill, Mandy Gonzalez, Rebecca Naomi Jones, Jon Rua and Chris "Shockwave" Sullivan.
