A concert presentation of songs from the new musical Pump Up the Volume, featuring Constantine Maroulis, Nancy Opel, Claybourne Elder and Leslie Odom, Jr., was held June 25 at Joe's Pub.

Featuring music by Jeff Thomson (Jawbreaker) and book and lyrics by Jeremy Desmon, the rock musical is based on the 1990 film about a lonely teen who broadcasts a pirate FM radio station from his parents home.

Dave Solomon directed the sold-out 9:30 PM concert that was produced by Katie Riegel. Actress Samantha Mathis, who starred in the original film, made a special appearance.
