In a gala tribute to benefit paralysis victims, filmdom's Christopher Reeve (left with wife, actress Dana Reeve) and Bran Pace, the young Jolson dancer shot and paralyzed from the chest down after being mugged in Baltimore, were honored at the New Amsterdam Theatre June 12. Broadway and film stars from Tony winner Heather Headley and Brian Stokes Mitchell to Brooke Shields and Susan Sarandon made appearances or performed at the event.
