The Phantom of the Opera, Broadway's longest-running musical, celebrated another milestone on Jan. 26 when the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical hit its 23rd anniversary in New York. Director Harold Prince was on hand for the matinee.
The musical tells the story of a masked musical genius who lurks beneath the catacombs of the Paris Opera House, controlling all above. He falls in love with an innocent young soprano, Christine, and devotes himself to creating a new star. The score includes some of Lloyd Webber's best-known songs, including "Music of the Night," "All I Ask of You," "Masquerade," "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" and the title song.
Tail! Spin! is the hysterical new comedy drawn verbatim from the leaked e-mails, raunchy texts and tell-tale tweets that brought down politicians Anthony Weiner, Mark Sanford, Larry Craig and Mark Foley. With SNL Alum Rachel Dratch! Only $55!
