Actor, singer and songwriter Tituss Burgess celebrated his R&B/soul album "Comfortable" with a special concert at The Cutting Room May 13 at 9 PM.
Burgess performed on Broadway in Jersey Boys, The Little Mermaid and Guys and Dolls and starred on the television show "30 Rock." He has headlined at symphonies throughout the world, including the Prague Symphony Orchestra, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Springfield Symphony Orchestra and concert venues such as 54 Below and Birdland.
"Comfortable" is described in press notes as "a unique and intensely-personal collection of Burgess's original R&B songs that frankly and emotionally explore issues of life and love."
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
