11 Apr 2012
Singer-actor Tony Vincent, most recently seen on Broadway in American Idiot, was eliminated from the NBC reality singing competition "The Voice" on the April 10 broadcast following an April 9 performance on the "Live Round."
Vincent, who was on the team mentored by pop superstar Cee-Lo Green, covered Tears for Fears' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" on the April 9 broadcast. On the April 10 results show, Vincent competed in the "Last Chance" performance; he sang "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)." Following the performances, Green chose singer Cheesa to advance to the next round.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
