PHOTO RECAP: A Two-Show Day at Broadway's Mystery of Edwin Drood With Robert Creighton
10 Mar 2014
Spend a day at Broadway's Mystery of Edwin Drood. Rupert Holmes' boisterous whodunnit closed on Broadway one year ago today. Robert Creighton, who played boozy gravedigger Durdles, offers an extensive look backstage, introduces the cast of characters and shares the intricacies of the voting process.
"I had a great time taking pictures of my day at the theatre," said Creighton. "We're having a blast over there doing this unique and fantastic show- as you can probably tell if you've had a chance to see it. If you like Broadway backstage antics or are just curious about what an actor does on a two-show day, have a look at these and say hi to Chita, SJB and Will Chase, up close and personal!"
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
