PHOTO SPECIAL: John Travolta Presents Adele Dazeem in...
05 Mar 2014
On Sunday night a new star was born when John Travolta introduced singing actress Adele Dazeem (a majorly mispronounced version of the Tony-winning Broadway talent Idina Menzel), who burst onto the scene in a big way with her performance of the Oscar-winning song "Let It Go" from "Frozen."
Previously unknown to stage and screen audiences, Dazeem has already built a huge Twitter following and will hopefully be a major onstage presence for decades to come. Playbill.com has come up with some roles we'd like to see the star try her hand at.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
