PHOTO SPECIAL: Stars of the Stage Celebrate Mother's and Father's Day With Pics, Memories and Notes of Love to Their Parents

It may be the heart of Tony Season, but we have also reached that time of the year where we pay tribute to those who gave us life by celebrating Mother's and Father's Day. Playbill.com reached out to members of the theatre community and asked them to share photos and memories of the people who created and inspired them.
The response was a massive outpouring of loving memories, old photographs, funny stories and heartfelt messages to parents both living and deceased.
Wesley Taylor: "My dad and I built a stage in the backyard, where I could enlist all my neighborhood friends to be in my plays. I was an 11-year-old dictator. It was pretty rad. I don't know how you can get more supportive than that."
Deaf West’s production of SPRING AWAKENING floored the critics when it premiered in California, prompting the Los Angeles Times to write, "It's hard to enumerate all the ways in which Deaf West's SPRING AWAKENING is so very, very good." Now this unapologetically brilliant new production is coming to New York.
