Original Broadway cast members Dan Lauria, John Bolton and Erin Dilly return for the New York City holiday engagement of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul's Tony Award-nominated A Christmas Story, The Musical. In anticipation of the Dec. 12 opening night, the actors share their favorite Christmas songs as part of this week's Playbill Playlist.

Lauria, Bolton, Dilly and Australian actress Caroline O'Connor, who were part of the original Broadway production, repeat their work in the engagement that runs Dec. 11-29 at the Theater at Madison Square Garden, following engagements at Hartford's Bushnell Theatre Nov. 12-17 and the Wang Theatre in Boston, Nov. 20-Dec. 8.

In anticipation of opening night at MSG, set for Dec. 12, the stars of A Christmas Story pick their favorite Christmas songs and tell us why they made the list.

A Christmas Story, The Musical, which opened Nov. 19, 2012, at Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, earned three 2013 Tony Award nominations, including Best Score, Best Book and Best Musical.

The musical, by songwriters Pasek and Paul and book writer Joseph Robinette, includes such songs as "Red Ryder," "Ralphie to the Rescue," "A Major Award" and "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out."
