In the new series Playbill Video Week in Review, Playbill.com recaps its weekly coverage of Broadway performances, celebrity interviews, web series and opening nights – in case they were missed the first time around.
Here's a look at videos from the week of April 14.
Wesley Taylor and Mitchell Jarvis' web series "It Could Be Worse" chronicles the ups and downs (and there are a LOT of downs!) of struggling actor Jacob Gordon (Taylor) as he navigates challenging experiences with a drugged-up agent (Jarvis), a needy ex-boyfriend (Gideon Glick), an unpredictable co-star (Alison Fraser), a new love interest playing hard to get (Adam Chanler-Berat) and many other oddball characters. In this exclusive video, creators and cast take us behind the scenes of the series. For more on the show, and to catch up on past episodes, read the Playbill story.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
