Samantha Mathis, Griffin Dunne and Ilana Levine are the latest actors to join the New York Stage and Film's 2012 Powerhouse season, which is currently underway on the campus of Vassar College.

Mathis (33 Variations) and Dunne (After Hours) will be part of the cast of Fires Are Confusing, which also features Erin Anderson, Michael Braun, Patrick Carroll, Michael Chernus, Wayne Duvall, Joanne Lubeck, Stephanie O'Neill, Danton Stone, Jeremy Webb and Libby Woodbridge.

Zach Helm will direct the July 13-15 presentation of the work that he authored with Eva Andersonm and Will Berson. Here's how it's billed: "From Los Angeles company Teatro de Facto, this highly theatrical piece combines dramatic invention and journalistic research to tell the real-life story of Cameron Todd Willingham. Scheduled for execution in the arson death of his children, Willingham awaits his fate while a scientist recreates his crime, casting shadows over Willingham’s conviction, and his community."

Levine (Jake's Women, The Last night of Ballyhoo) will be part of the new Stephen Belber play The Power of Duff, which runs July 18-29 under the direction of Peter DuBois. Previously announced cast members include Desmin Borges, Dominic Fumusa, Neil Huff, Russell G. Jones, Greg Kinnear, Ben Platt and Jennifer Westfeldt.

According to the Powerhouse, "Charles Duff, a news anchor in a mid-market backwater, has an unexpected spiritual awakening on live TV. His prayers, and their answers, change his audience, his family, and his own life forever."
