Sunset Boulevard Star to Perform in San Francisco in 2007

Petula Clark, who played Norma Desmond in the London and U.S. national touring companies of Sunset Boulevard, will make her first San Francisco concert appearance in over three decades in 2007.

On Feb. 17, 2007, Clark will entertain audiences at the Herbst Theatre. Concertgoers can expect to hear such Clark hits as "Downtown," "I Know a Place," "A Sign of the Times" and "Don't Sleep in the Subway" as well as several of her theatre songs, including tunes from Sunset Boulevard and Blood Brothers. Show time is 8 PM.

One of the most successful singers to emerge from Britain in the 1960's, Clark is perhaps best known for her hit "Downtown," although the singer/actress has also appeared in several musicals, including the Broadway production of Blood Brothers and the U.S. tour and London company of Sunset Boulevard. She also starred in an acclaimed London revival of The Sound of Music.
