"Dreamgirls"
One of 2006's most anticipated theatrical events was actually found at the local cineplex. The long-awaited movie adaptation of "Dreamgirls" finally opened starring Beyoncé Knowles, Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy, Tony winner Anika Noni Rose and Jennifer Hudson. Hudson, as Effie, proved to be the most exciting find, already having won multiple awards for her performance.
