Kate Burton to Be Honored at Williamstown Gala

The annual Williamstown Theatre Festival Gala will honor Broadway actress Kate Burton, a longtime associate of the Massachusetts theatre. The evening, which will include a live and silent auction, will begin at 6:30 PM. In 2002 Kate Burton received dual Tony nominations: Best Actress in a Play for Hedda Gabler and Best Featured Actress in a Play for The Elephant Man. Burton has also appeared on Broadway in The Constant Wife, The Beauty Queen of Leenane, An American Daughter, Company, Jake's Women, Some Americans Abroad, Wild Honey, Doonesbury, Alice in Wonderland and Present Laughter. Her screen credits include "Celebrity," "Ice Storm," "First Wives Club" and "August." Burton was most recently seen at Williamstown in a production of Emlyn Williams' The Corn Is Green.
