PHOTO CALL: LaBute's reasons to be pretty Opens Off-Broadway

MCC Theater celebrated the opening night of Neil LaBute's reasons to be pretty, starring Piper Perabo and Alison Pill, June 2. In reasons to be pretty, press notes state, "Greg's tight-knit social circle is thrown into turmoil when his offhanded remarks about a female coworker's pretty face (and his girlfriend's lack thereof) get back to said girlfriend." The work billed as a "comic drama" delves into the American obsession with physical beauty — closing a trilogy of works with that same theme that includes The Shape of Things and Fat Pig. MCC artistic directors Robert LuPone and Bernard Telsey as well as associate artistic director William Cantler were on hand at the Telsey Studio along with the cast and more.
