Blue Man Group to Open 2008 IT Awards; Nominations Announced

The Young Ladies Of..., Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind, On the Way to Timbuktu, The Rockae and Yank! are among the nominees for the 2008 IT Awards. The 2008 IT Awards will be presented Sept. 22 at the Fashion Institute of Technology. The evening, celebrating the best of Off Off-Broadway, will open with a special performance from Blue Man Group. "We are excited about participating in this New York tradition of honoring diverse theater in NYC," said Blue Man performer Wes Day in a statement. "Blue Man Group celebrates its New York roots and is proud to be grounded in this vibrant New York theatre culture." A selection of the 2008 IT Award nominations follows:
