Seattle's A.C.T. Offers Intimate Exchanges Beginning Aug. 15
By Adam Hetrick
Alan Ayckbourn's Intimate Exchanges, a comedic two-hander with four possible endings, begins performances at Seattle's A Contemporary Theatre Aug. 15. Intimate Exchanges follows Celia, the long-suffering wife of bitter, hard-drinking headmaster Toby Teasdale, and her efforts to forge a life of her own. On varying evenings the audience will be treated to a different ending for each act. Owen, who has appeared in ACT's The Women and Stuff Happens, portrays Sylvie, Celia and Irene, while Wright (Stuff Happens, The Pillowman) is cast as Lionel, Toby and Miles. The various endings for Intimate Exchanges (one for each act) are performed on a rotating schedule. The first preview and opening-night endings will be determined ACT artistic director Kurt Beattie. For tickets phone (206) 292-7676 or visit ACT. ACT is located at 700 Union Street in Seattle, WA. |
