Barrowman's "Music Music Music" CD Due in November
By Andrew Gans
"Music Music Music," the latest solo recording from stage and TV star John Barrowman, will be released in the U.K. Nov. 24 on the Sony/BMG label. "Music Music Music" was produced by Simon Franglen and Graham Stack. About the 12-track recording, Barrowman says on his official website, "There are three distinct styles on this record: Musical theatre, country and western, and straightforward pop. I wanted to sing songs I've always loved, songs like Bette Midler's 'From a Distance,' Joni Mitchell's 'Both Sides Now' and Dusty Springfield's 'You Don't Have to Say You Love Me,' alongside things like Keith Urban's fantastic 'You'll Think of Me.'"
The complete track listing for "Music Music Music" follows: John Barrowman reprised his role as Billy Crocker in the National Theatre's production of Anything Goes at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. He originally played the role opposite Elaine Paige in 1989. On Broadway, the actor starred in the Stephen Sondheim revue Putting It Together and also made a guest appearance in the New York company of Sunset Boulevard, repeating his London role as Joe Gillis. Barrowman's other London theatrical credits include Grease!, The Phantom of the Opera, The Fix, Miss Saigon and Beauty and the Beast. He made his London pantomime debut in a production of Cinderella and was also seen in the film of "The Producers." He has also been a judge on several reality TV casting programs and can be seen in the BBC series "Dr. Who" and "Torchwood." |
