LAST CHANCE: Bash'd and Marital Institution
By Adam Hetrick
August 26, 2008
A gay rap opera and a wry monologue about monogamy play their final performances in New York the weekend of Aug. 30.
What follows is Playbill.com's weekly "Last Chance" reminder to catch Broadway and Off-Broadway productions before they close.
Closing Aug. 30
Bash'd (Off-Broadway at the Zipper Factory Theater). Chris Craddock and Nathan Cuckow penned the work in which they also star as T-BAG and FEMINEM. Chronicling the tale of two star-crossed lovers involved in a hate-crime, Bash'd is an irreverent and provocative work told entirely through spoken word and poetry. For tickets visit ZipperFactory.
Closing Aug. 31
Life in a Marital Institution (20 Years of Monogamy in One Terrifying Hour) (Off-Broadway at the Soho Playhouse). Penned by NPR contributor James Braly, the one-man work explores the idiosyncrasies of married life with candor and doses of absurd comedy. For tickets visit SohoPlayhouse.
