A host of Broadway favorites will take part in a Sept. 27 concert to benefit The Chance Theatre, the Orange County ensemble-based theatre company.
Paul Canaan, who was a judge on the MTV reality series "The Search for the Next Elle Woods," hosts the evening, which boasts performances by Legally Blonde's Laura Bell Bundy, Spring Awakening's Lea Michele, Rent's Eden Espinosa, The Phantom of the Opera's Stephen Tewksbury, Wicked's Kristoffer Cusick and The Trans-Siberian Orchestra's Bart Shatto.
The festivities will begin at 4:30 PM with a VIP check-in and an exclusive preview of the silent auction, followed by a VIP dinner at Ambrosia Restaurant (5 PM), cocktail hour (6:30 PM), the concert (7:30 PM) and a VIP after-party (10 PM).
In a previous statement Chance managing director Casey Long said, "For our 10th Anniversary, we wanted to make our annual fundraiser something really special. It's an amazing lineup of talent in a very intimate atmosphere. People are traveling from across the country to be there, some as far away as New York." Proceeds from the benefit will support Chance's artistic programming, education programs and outreach initiatives.
The evening will also include silent and live auctions, a raffle drawing and the announcement of The Chance Theater's 2009 Season.
The OC Pavilion is located at 801 N. Main Street in Santa Ana, CA. Tickets, priced $75-$200 (VIP packages begin at $300), are available by calling (714) 777-3033 or by visiting www.chancetheater.com/broadway.
