Lea DeLaria Celebrates New CD Sept. 29

Lea DeLaria, whose Broadway credits include On the Town and The Rocky Horror Show, celebrates the release of her latest solo recording, "The Live Smoke Sessions," with two Manhattan concerts. It's a busy time for the singing actress, who will also appear in dual roles on ABC-TV's "One Life to Live" this month. DeLaria will also celebrate her new recording with a show in London at 606 Club on Nov. 9. The complete track listing for "The Live Smoke Sessions" (Ghostlight Records) follows:
"Down With Love" (Harold Arlen/E.Y. Harburg) Lea DeLaria received an Obie and a Theater World Award for her work in the Public Theater's revival of On the Town. She also starred in the Broadway revival of The Rocky Horror Show and the City Center Encores! presentation of Li'l Abner. Her other theatrical credits include Cinderella, Little Fish, Chicago, The Boys From Syracuse, The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told and As You Like It. An acclaimed stand up comic, DeLaria is also an accomplished jazz singer, and her previous solo recordings include "Play It Cool" and "Double Standards."
