PHOTO CALL: August: Osage County at London's National Theatre
By Ernio Hernandez
Rehearsals are currently underway for the London bow of Tracy Letts' August: Osage County, which will boast much of the original Steppenwolf and Broadway cast. Tony Award winner Anna D. Shapiro again stages the family drama for the upcoming run at the National's Lyttelton Theatre, Nov. 21, 2008-Jan. 21, 2009. Original cast members Ian Barford, Mariann Mayberry, Amy Morton, Sally Murphy, Jeff Perry, Kimberly Guerrero and Troy West as well as Tony Award winners Deanna Dunagan and Rondi Reed reprise their work for London audiences. Michael McGuire, Paul Vincent O'Connor, Molly Ranson and Gary Cole join the cast. August: Osage County "tells the explosively funny tale of the Weston clan, triggered by the recent disappearance of the family patriarch," as a release states. Letts' critically acclaimed play "paints a vivid portrait of a Midwestern family at a critical turning point." Here is a look at the London cast:
