Hairspray's Shaiman and Wittman Will Discuss Prop 8 on "Theater Talk"

Hairspray songwriters Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman will be the special guests on the Nov. 21 broadcast of "Theater Talk," the PBS talk show that offers interviews with top theatre practitioners.

Wittman and Shaiman will be on hand to discuss their "recent involvement in the controversy over California's Proposition 8, the ballot proposition that amended the state Constitution to restrict the definition of marriage to a union between a man and a woman," according to press notes.

The half-hour program airs Nov. 21 at 1 AM (Saturday morning) on WNET/Thirteen.

A rebroadcast of a 2005 "Theater Talk" interview with late theatre critic Clive Barnes will air on CUNY TV Nov. 22 at 8:30 PM; Nov. 23 at 12:30 PM; and Nov. 24 at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
