Les Misérables Star Frangoulis Joins Brightman on World Concert Tour
By Andrew Gans
Mario Frangoulis, who made his West End debut as Marius in the award-winning Les Misérables, is currently sharing the concert stage with Sarah Brightman as she tours the U.S. in her new concert act, which will play Madison Square Garden Nov. 23. In concert, Frangoulis and Brightman join voices for "Canto Della Terra" and the title song from Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera.
Remaining tour dates follow: Brightman's tour features "new and groundbreaking technology, with virtual and holographic stage sets that have never been seen before in any touring concert production," according to press notes. "This innovative stage technology is highly sophisticated and dramatic, creating an otherworldly, ethereal experience: enormous realistic ballrooms will meld into fairytale gardens and then morph into giant fish tanks, right before the audience's very eyes, creating a perfect backdrop for Sarah's glorious voice." Frangoulis has also been seen on the musical theatre stage as Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera. For more information visit visit www.mariofrangoulis.com. |
