Project Shaw's Saint Joan, with Martin, Groff, Kudisch, Slezak, Seldes, Presented Dec. 22

The Project Shaw series continues Dec. 22 with George Bernard Shaw's Saint Joan.

The reading at the Players Club boasts the talents of Madeleine Martin, John Bolton, Teddy Eck, Alvin Epstein, Adam Feldman, Jack Gilpin, Jonathan Groff, Stephen Mo Hanan, Tim Jerome, Larry Keith, Simon Kendall, Jack Koenig, Marc Kudisch, Jon Levenson, James Ludwig, Daniel Marconi, Victor Slezak, Daniel Truman, Nick Wyman and special guest Marian Seldes. Alexis Soloski hosts the 7 PM event.

Saint Joan, according to Project Shaw, is described as such: "It was the defining moment of an age. It was a woman who defined it. Shaw's witty play about Joan of Arc."

Although the evening is sold out, beginning at 5:30 PM names will be taken for a waiting list.

The Project Shaw series is produced and directed by David Staller, who acted with Dana Ivey in Shaw's Mrs. Warren's Profession at the Irish Repertory Theatre. The series intends to offer every sketch, full-length and one-act play by the late playwright.

Past participants include Blair Brown, Mark Kudisch, Kerry Butler, Tyne Daly, Jonathan Hadary, Daniel Jenkins, Rebecca Luker, Michael Cerveris, Karen Ziemba, Michele Pawk, Bruce Vilanch, Jack Gilpin and George S. Irving.

(March 16), Inca of Perusalem (April 20), Glimpse of Reality/The Man of Destiny (May 18), Six of Calais/Simpleton of the Unexpected Isles (June 15), Mrs. Warren's Profession (July 20), Back to Methuselah (Part One) (Sept. 21), Back to Methuselah (Part Two) (Oct. 19), On the Rocks (Nov. 16) and Why She Would Not (Dec. 14).
