Tony Winner Lloyd Young to Guest on New Fox Series "GLEE"

Tony Award winner John Lloyd Young, who will be seen in the new feature film "Oy Vey My Son Is Gay," has landed a guest-starring role on the new Fox television series "GLEE." The new series from Ryan Murphy, creator of "Nip/Tuck," is scheduled to begin production shortly. An air date for the first episode has yet to be announced. "GLEE," according to press notes, is an "inspiring one-hour musical comedy that follows an optimistic high school teacher as he tries to transform the school's Glee Club and inspire a group of ragtag performers to make it to the biggest competition of them all: Nationals." The cast features Matthew Morrison, Jayma Mays, Chris Colfer, Amber Riley, Kevin McHale, Jenna Ushkowitz, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Dianna Agron, Mark Salling, Jessalyn Gilsig and Jane Lynch. John Lloyd Young received a Tony Award for his work as Frank Valli in the Tony-winning musical Jersey Boys. For that performance he also won Outer Critics Circle, Drama Desk and Theatre World awards. His other theatrical credits include The Drawer Boy as well as productions at the McCarter Theatre and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. He also played Marius in the sold-out Hollywood Bowl presentation of Les Misérables in Concert. |
