Leslie Jordan's Trip Down the Pink Carpet to Play Off-Broadway's Westside Theatre
By Andrew Gans
Leslie Jordan's solo show, My Trip Down the Pink Carpet, will begin previews at Off-Broadway's Westside Theatre April 15. Jordan is perhaps best known for his work as Beverley Leslie on the NBC series "Will & Grace." He has also been seen on "Boston Legal," "Hidden Palms" and "Reba." Pink Carpet, according to press notes, is described as "an outrageous tell-all that weaves together a hilarious collection of true life stories. . . [The show] tells the unlikely tale of one of America's true gay icons. . . Filled with comically overwrought childhood agonies, offbeat observations, and revealing celebrity encounters — from Boy George to George Clooney — My Trip Down The Pink Carpet delivers a laugh-out-loud take on Hollywood, fame, addiction, gay culture, and learning to love oneself." The production features set design by Michael Hotopp, lighting design by Michael Gilliam, costume design by David Toser and sound design by Wallace Flores. Show times are Wednesday-Saturday at 8 PM with matinees on Wednesday and Sunday at 2 PM. Tickets, priced $70, will be available shortly by visiting Telecharge.com or by calling (212) 239-6200. The Westside Theatre is located at 407 West 43rd Street in Manhattan. |
