Mitchell, Callaway, Prince, Green and More Will Join Bucchino at Birdland

A host of theatre and cabaret favorites will join A Catered Affair composer John Bucchino during his upcoming concert at Birdland.

Among those scheduled to be part of John Bucchino & Friends March 9 at Birdland are Brian Stokes Mitchell, Ann Hampton Callaway, Daisy Prince, Brian Lane Green, Jessica Phillips, Lucas Steele, Jamison Stern, Joan Almedilla, Jacqueline Hester, cellist Yair Evnine and composers Justin Paul and Benj Pasek. Show time is 7 PM.

Bucchino has written songs for the musicals A Catered Affair, The Artist at 40, Urban Myths and Lavender Girl, a one-act included in an evening of short musicals called 3hree, compiled by Harold Prince. He has also written the songs for the Dreamworks animated film "Joseph, King of Dreams" and has released four CDs: "Grateful: The Songs of John Bucchino," "Solitude Lessons," "It's Only Life" and "On Richard Rodgers' Piano," which features solo piano interpretations of Rodgers songs on the composer's own Steinway.
