Laurie Metcalf to Headline Voice Lessons in Hollywood
By Adam Hetrick
Tony nominee Laurie Metcalf and French Stewart will star in the world premiere of the Justin Tanner comedy Voice Lessons at the Zephyr Theatre in Hollywood. The cast of Voice Lessons stars Emmy winner Metcalf (November, "Roseanne") and Stewart ("3rd Rock from the Sun"), as well as Emmy winning actress Maile Flanagan ("Grey's Anatomy," "Jakers"). According to press notes, Voice Lessons is "about the unlikely romance between a deluded community theatre actress (Metcalf) and the overeducated vocal coach (Stewart) she hires to transform her into a star." Complete creative duties will be announced shortly. Linda Toliver and Gary Guidinger produce. Voice Lessons marks the fifth of Tanner's plays Metcalf has performed. Metcalf and co-star Stewart have previously appeared together in Tanner's Still Life With Vacuum Salesman and Pot Mom. For tickets, phone (323) 960-7711 or visit VoiceLessons. The Zephyr Theatre is located at 7456 Melrose Ave in Hollywood. |
