Collins, Davis, Evens, Hibbard, Ruff and Snow Set for Tale of Terezin Readings
By Andrew Gans
April 9, 2009
Amas Musical Theatre will present a developmental workshop production of Signs of Life: A Tale of Terezin April 28-30 at the Actors Playhouse in Manhattan.
Directed by Jeremy Dobrish, the readings will feature the talents of Eric Collins, Sarah Davis, Leo Ash Evens, Zach Lalley, David Hibbard, William Parry, Noah Ruff, Jason Michael Snow, and Carl N. Wallnau. Music direction is by Matt Castle.
Signs of Life features music by Joel Derfner, lyrics by Len Schiff and a book by Peter Ullian. The musical, according to press notes, is "an exploration of life in the Jewish artists' ghetto created by the Nazis in the Czech town of Terezin during World War II. Hitler renamed it Theresienstadt and his propaganda cynically proclaimed it 'A City for the Jews.'"
Show times are April 28 at 7:30 PM, April 29 at 7:30 PM and April 30 at 3 PM.
The Actors Playhouse is located in Manhattan at 100 Seventh Avenue South. For tickets, priced $18, call (212) 563-2565
