Lyric Theatre's Joseph, with "American Idol" Finalists Fedorov and DeGarmo, Begins July 21

Anthony Fedorov and Diana DeGarmo, both "American Idol" finalists, star in the Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma's production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, which begins performances July 21. The production also boasts 80 children, ages 7-16. "The favored son among eleven jealous brothers, Joseph is betrayed, sold into slavery, and taken far from his home into Egypt," according to Lyric Theatre press notes. "Up against tremendous adversity, Joseph uses wit, faith, and his special gift of interpreting dreams in order to defy incredible odds." The production also features music direction by Keith Levenson, costume design by Jeffrey Meek, set design by Amanda Foust, lighting design by Helena Kuukka and sound design by George Ryan. DeGarmo, who has been seen on Broadway in Hairspray and in the national tour of Brooklyn, will join the cast of Off-Broadway's The Toxic Avenger Aug. 14.
