Sondheim Summer: A Tribute to Stephen Sondheim, featuring a host of theatre and cabaret artists, will be presented Aug. 17 at Ryan Black's 88's Cabaret in West Hollywood. Stephen Sondheim, who penned the lyrics for Gypsy and West Side Story, is the award-winning composer-lyricist of Road Show, A Little Night Music, Into the Woods, Follies, Sweeney Todd, Merrily We Roll Along, Anyone Can Whistle, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Sunday in the Park with George, Assassins, Company and Passion, among others. There is a $20 cash cover charge with $30 food-drink minimum; $15 standing-room tickets have a two-drink minimum. Ryan Black's 88's Cabaret is located within the Cafe La Boheme Restaurant at 8400 Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood, CA. |
