Howl Festival Programming to Include Cradle Will Rock, Arias, Birdsong and More

Heather Laws, Annie Golden, Joey Arias and Basil Twist will take part in the 2009 Howl Festival next month in downtown Manhattan. Theatrical at the Bleecker Street Theatre include Re-Exploding Plastic Inevitable, featuring performances by The Major Toms, Penny Arcade, Annie Golden, Mary Birdsong, John Kelly, Joseph Keckler, Diana Berry, Brenda Bergman, Sturgis Nikides and Mandy Lemons (Sept. 15); Legends Of the Lower East Side, with Joey Arias, Basil Twist, Psychotica (featuring Patrick Briggs) and Lavinia Co-op (Sept. 16); the Tweed encore presentation of Pic–up: A Summer Romance (Sept. 18-20); and a revival of Marc Blitzstein's The Cradle Will Rock (Sept. 21-24). Additional play readings include Michael W. Small's Got You, starring Heather Laws, Fred Rose, Laura Daniel, Jeremy Ellison-Gladstone (Sept. 25); David Caudle's The Common Swallow, with Annie Golden and Elizabeth Rich (Sept. 25-27); and SOP DOLL!
