Michael McKean and the company of Tracy Letts' Superior Donuts enjoyed their Oct. 1 opening night Broadway's Music Box Theatre.

Tina Landau directed the work featuring the entire 2008 world-premiere cast from the Chicago run at Steppenwolf Theatre Company. The cast and crew celebrated after the show at New York's Redeye Grill.

Joining McKean in the cast are Jane Alderman, Kate Buddeke, Cliff Chamberlain, Michael Garvey, Jon Michael Hill, James Vincent Meredith, Robert Maffia and Yasen Peyankov.

"Arthur Przybyszewski owns a decrepit donut shop in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago," read Superior Donuts materials. "Franco Wicks, a black teenager who is his only employee, wants to change the shop for the better. This provocative comedy, set in the heart of one of Chicago's most diverse communities, explores the challenges of embracing the past and the redemptive power of friendship."
