ActorCrafts! Fair of Broadway Goodies Will Return Nov. 21

Broadway actors will showcase their crafty sides at the 6th annual ActorCrafts! fair Nov. 21 at the Holy Cross School in Midtown Manhattan.

Among the show folk offering their handmade wares: scarves and knitted items by Tony nominee Marla Schaffel (Jane Eyre); homemade soaps by Kristin Carbone (Mary Poppins); baked goods by Thom Christopher Warren (The Lion King); knitted hats by Audrey Lavine (Anna Karenina); baby items by Rosa Curry (The Rocky Horror Show); hand-crafted woodturnings by James Romick (The Phantom of the Opera); dolls by Sylvia Rhyne (Sweeney Todd); balsam filled pillows and sachets by Ken McMullen (Beauty and the Beast); and handcrafted jewelry by backstage photographer Rivka Katvan.

In 2004 Josef Reiter organized the biennial event, which allows those working within the entertainment industry to hone and sell their "craft" outside of the theatre.

The event will take place from 10 AM-6 PM at the Holy Cross School, located in Manhattan at 332 West 43rd Street. Admission to the holiday ActorCrafts is free and made possible by a grant from BC/EFA.
