Stephen Adly Guirgis will direct the upcoming New York City run of Michael Aronov's Manigma at The Harold Clurman Theatre.

The Process Group Theatre Co. & Great Scott Films in association with Artists Empire present the solo work written and performed by Aronov. The run will play Jan. 15-March 13, 2010.

"Six extraordinary lives — raw, flawed, and beautiful — yearn to change the world and sometimes themselves," read Manigma show notes. "An outrageous, dangerous, and sometimes shocking journey about transformation and embracing our spectacular polarities."

Aronov appeared in the world premieres of Mauritius (Boston's Huntington Theatre) and Terrence McNally's Unusual Acts of Devotion (Philadelphia Theatre Company). He has also performed Off-Broadway in Spain (MCC), Miss Julie (Cherry Lane) and The Late Henry Moss (Signature Theatre Company).

Guirgis is the playwright of The Little Flower of East Orange, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, In Arabia We'd All Be Kings, Jesus Hopped The 'A' Train and Our Lady of 121st Street. As a performer, he has appeared on stage in Guinea Pig Solo and on screen in "Palindromes." He currently serves as co-artistic director of the LAByrinth Theater Company with Mimi O'Donnell and Yul Vázquez.

The production of Manigma features original music by David Majzlin and Michael Aronov. The design team includes Michael Bednark (scenic) and Ben Kato (lighting). Samantha Flint serves as stage manager.

Tickets to Manigma at The Clurman in Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street (between Ninth & Tenth Avenue) are available by calling (212) 279-4200. For more information, visit manigma.net.
