The Project Shaw series continues Jan. 24 with a reading of George Bernard Shaw's Androcles and the Lion.

The reading at the Players Club in Manhattan features an all-critic cast, including David Belcher, David Cote, Frank DiLella, Joe Dziemianowicz, Michael Feingold, Adam Feldman, Peter Filichia, David Finkle, Michael Musto, Brian Scott Lipton, Jesse Oxfeld, Patrick Pacheco, Andy Propst, Michael Riedel, Michael Schulman, David Sheward, Raven Snook, Roma Torre, Elisabeth Vincentelli and Jason Zinoman. The light comedy, according to press notes, "follows  a group of Christians  faced with a horrible death in the Roman Coliseum. Based on Aesop's most famous of Fables, Shaw gives it his unique twist, incorporating his passionate plea for human rights and the importance of tolerance."
