With the imminent arrival of the Broadway revival of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Evita, which is scheduled to begin previews March 12 at the Marquis Theatre, we thought it would be a great time to look back at some of the stellar women who played the title role in the original London and Broadway productions.

We continue our Evita Files series with Patti LuPone, who created the role of Eva Peron on Broadway, earning Tony and Drama Desk awards for her performance.
