Now. Here. This., the new musical revue created by and featuring the cast of Broadway's [title of show], ends its extended run at Off-Broadway's Vineyard Theatre on April 28. The world-premiere staging got a New York Times review that was peppered with compliments fresh for an ad man's picking.

A next step for the show has not been announced. The hard-to-define new musical has book by Hunter Bell and Susan Blackwell, and music and lyrics by Jeff Bowen. It is based on a collaboration by Hunter Bell, Michael Berresse, Susan Blackwell, Heidi Blickenstaff, Jeff Bowen and Larry Pressgrove. Vocal arrangements are by Jeff Bowen and Larry Pressgrove.

Opening night was March 28. Previews began March 7. Strong ticket sales (and mixed if encouraging reviews) prompted the extended run. The meta-theatrical musical [title of show], a love letter to musicals and making theatre, had its Off-Broadway debut at The Vineyard in 2006 following a launch at the New York Musical Theatre Festival. The Vineyard production moved to Broadway in 2008. A cast album preserves the score; it is also a licensable property. Read about the Broadway life of [title of show] in the Playbill Vault.

Read the recent Playbill magazine feature about Now. Here. This. A kind of existential revue, featuring personal stories from the lives of the foursome of Bell, Blackwell, Bowen and Blickenstaff, Now. Here. This. has orchestrations by Larry Pressgrove and Rob Preuss. Musical direction is by Pressgrove. Howard Joines is music coordinator.

The show is directed and choreographed by Michael Berresse.

Here's how Vineyard characterizes the work: "The six original collaborators are back and all delving into life's big questions with inimitable humor and humanity. The show explores birds, bees, reptiles, early man, ancient civilizations, and outer space. Also, loneliness, friendship, hoarding, hiding, laughing, living and dying. And middle school. And dinosaurs."
