"Theater Talk," the series devoted to the world of the stage, will spotlight the new, Tony-nominated musical Newsies May 20 at 5 AM ET on WNET/13.

The 30-minute program will feature interviews with Newsies composer Alan Menken and librettist Harvey Fierstein, who will "describe the popular show's incubation period, and perform several of the show's best songs, plus a couple of others that didn't make the cut." Menken will also share a tune from the score of the original 1992 movie of "Newsies," which won him that year's Razzie Award for Worst Song.

Broadcasts are also scheduled for May 19 at 8:30 PM (the premiere of the interviews), May 20 at 12:30 PM and May 21 at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM and 7:30 PM on CUNY TV.

"Theater Talk" will offer Tony Predictions 2012 May 25 at 1 AM ET on WNET/13. The panel, who will forecast this year's Tony winners, will include Jesse Green (New York Magazine), Michael Musto (The Village Voice) and Patrick Pacheco (LA Times). Additional air times are May 26 at 8:30 PM, May 27 at 12:30 PM and May 28 at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM and 7:30 PM on CUNY TV.

The chat show is co-hosted by Michael Riedel, Broadway columnist for the New York Post, and series executive producer Susan Haskins.
