By Andrew Gans
Comedy Tonight, an evening celebrating Broadway's funniest songs, will be presented June 16 at The TAI Group to benefit The Beautiful Soup Theatre Collective.
The 7 PM performance will feature the talents of Ashley Kate Adams ("Gay Bride of Frankenstein," Broadway's La Cage aux Folles), stand-up comedian Joe Masse ("The Degenerates" at Caroline's on Broadway), Mallory Berlin, Dom Crincoli, Emily Floyd, Anna Kirkland, Samantha Mercado Alex Pagels, Anne Richmond, Joy Smith and Tal Yardeni.
Attendees can expect to hear songs by Stephen Sondheim, Jerry Herman, Andrew Lippa and more.
The Beautiful Soup Theater Collective presented this past winter's New York revival of A Doll's Life and will soon stage a revival of Arthur Bicknell's Moose Murders.
The Beautiful Soup Theater Collective produces theatre for a cause. A portion of each production's profits benefits a charity whose mission matches the theme of the show at hand. In the past two years, Beautiful Soup has donated over $10,000 to charities like Artists Striving to End Poverty, BC/EFA, The Fortune Society, The USO and Project Night-Night.
Tickets are $25 for general admission and $20 for students and seniors with valid I.D. Reservations are available by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The TAI Group is located on the 14th floor of 150 West 30th Street, between 6th and 7th avenues.
