Hugh Jackman was honored at this year's Tony Award ceremony with a Special Tony celebrating his contributions to the Broadway community, both as a performer and humanitarian. We look back at the Australian star's stage career up to this point.
Hugh Jackman, who won a Tony Award for his Broadway debut in The Boy from Oz and was later seen opposite Daniel Craig in A Steady Rain, returned to The Great White Way last season in Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway.
He is also known for his film roles in the "X-Men" trilogy, "Someone Like You," "Swordfish," "Kate and Leopold," "Van Helsing," "The Fountain" and "Happy Feet" (in voice). His stage credits also include Trevor Nunn's staging of Oklahoma! at Britian's National Theatre and award-winning work in productions of Sunset Boulevard and Beauty and the Beast in his homeland.
