Cutting-Edge Composers Concert to Feature Jennifer Damiano, Derek Klena, Krysta Rodriguez, Jessica Phillips

Tony Award nominee Jennifer Damiano, Derek Klena, Blake Daniel and Jessica Phillips will perform the songs of new musical theatre composers July 23 at the Theatre at St. Clement's.



Laura Pietropinto directs and produces the Cutting-Edge Composers Concert, which will be performed at 7 PM and 9:30 PM. Jillian Robbins is co-producer of the event that is presented as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival. Nick Leighton will host.

Among the songwriters whose work will be showcased are Joey Contreras, Anna Dagmar, Colleen Dauncey and Akiva Romer-Segal, Kevin Fogarty, Drew Fornarola, Drew Gasparini, Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond, Peter Lerman, Paul Loesel and Scott Burkell, Virginia Pike, Will Reynolds, Zoe Sarnak, Ben Velez, Michael Patrick Walker and Zack Zadek.

Performers featured are Damiano (Next to Normal, Spider-Man), Klena (Dogfight, Carrie), Daniel (Spring Awakening), Phillips (Leap of Faith), Krysta Rodriguez (The Addams Family), Nic Rouleau (Book of Mormon), Steven Booth (Dogfight), Joe Cassidy (Catch Me If You Can), Harrison Chad (Caroline, or Change), Lilli Cooper (Spring Awakening), Jennifer Diamond (Broadway Dreams), Emma Hunton (Rent), Nate Kassas (Sydney Dance Co.), Eric Michael Krop (Godspell), Allison Posner (Volley Girls), Maddy Trumble (Newsies) and Donna Vivino (Wicked).

Ginny Pike is musical director. The band includes musicians Shannon Ford, Yuiko Kamakari, Dan Grennes, Alisa Horn and Ethan Pakchar.
